Cal State Fullerton aims to become a model public comprehensive university, nationally recognized for exceptional programs that prepare our diverse student body for academic and professional success.

We are in the final year of our current Strategic Plan (2013-2018), and our shared accomplishments since it was implemented — from a 30% improvement in six-year graduation rates and the elimination of the achievement gap for transfer students to a near tripling of annual gift commitments and the hiring of 270 diverse tenure-track faculty members — are evident in our classrooms and across the diverse communities we serve.

The ambitious goals put forth in the plan and our collective moxie to achieve them also gave rise to three powerful words that have since become the spirit by which our faculty, staff, students, and alumni work, study, and play: Titans Reach Higher. That theme — and the diverse campus community that make it a reality — is now the driving force to not only complete the initiatives in the final year of our 2013-2018 plan, but also create a new five-year Strategic Plan (2018-2023) that sees us achieve our ultimate goal: becoming the model public comprehensive university of the nation.

Already, the Strategic Plan Steering Committee (SPSC), the members of which are listed on this site and were selected with input from the Council of Deans, Academic Senate Executive Committee, Cabinet, and other campus constituencies, have been working collaboratively to ensure this community-wide process is transparent, inclusive, and collegial.

To that end, this website, which will serve as the University’s go-to resource for the creation and implementation of the 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, will be continuously updated by the SPSC with everything from comprehensive timelines and Town Hall announcements to feedback forums and key contacts.

Visit this site often and find ways to Reach Higher to ensure your voice is heard in what will become the foundation for our students’ and University’s success now and in the years to come.
